In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters slowed down speech I doubt I can catch the flight we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an excellent assistant".

These exchanges were published on Wednesday alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and places mentioned.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as the president's key advisers in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a film about Epstein before his passing and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he stated: "We plan to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days before the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about British political matters in 2018.

On the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "The guys are attempting to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can uk. Ideal- so others get the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa may remain in power". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the guys here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed the BBC: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his estate.
